Executive coaching grew out of my strategic planning business when clients asked me to work with their senior management or high potentials to help make their plans come alive and offer advice based on my business experience.
I saw this as an extra service in terms of helping provide support in my client’s plan implementation. However, it became clear that this ‘add-on’ consulting service now understood to be executive coaching, was seen by senior management as being just as valuable in gaining stronger strategic thinking, leadership skills, nurturing and ultimately retaining and developing their key employees over the long term.
